Lebanon/Jordan – Refugee misery

Less than 60km from Beirut, in the Bekaa plain, begins the greatest refugee misery of the Syrian civil war. Almost 2 million refugees live in more than 1000 camps, near the Syrian border.A life of extreme poverty and distress. A ZDF report on the exploitation of refugees, especially children. Glimpses of hope are offered by tent schools run by aid organisations that offer the children a perspective for the future through education. In Zataari in neighbouring Jordan, a similar picture exists. Insights into one of the largest camps in the Middle East.
